Bejewelled is a series of large-scale vessels and sculptural pieces which explore form, materiality, glaze and ceramic process.
Lucy’s work is influenced by nature, chemistry and geology.
Her fascination with glaze alchemy shines through; she has undertaken significant research and embraces the geological circularity of using minerals with different firing techniques to create uniquely glazed surfaces.
The metallic gemstone sculptures are adorned with components and materials; for her final Masters’ project she will continue to extend this approach.
Lucy’s work transcends the space between gallery and home, creating a juxtaposition between art and interior.
