About Lucy Lee
Lucy Lee is a British ceramic artist and designer whose work bridges two worlds: the considered precision of interior design and the intimate, tactile nature of handmade ceramics.
For over 25 years, she designed spaces that celebrated proportion, texture, and the human connection to place. That experience now lives in her ceramics practice, where those same instincts are expressed through clay.
Lucy began exploring ceramics in 2015, drawn to the material's honesty and the meditative rhythm of working by hand. What started as a return to making has grown into a deeply personal second chapter — one that slows the pace and returns to the essence of design: balance, form, and feeling.
She was captivated by the way clay responds to touch, how it holds memory in every mark and gesture. That immediacy — so different from the months-long timelines of interior projects — offered a new kind of creative satisfaction.
Today, Lucy is studying for an MA in Ceramics at the University of Staffordshire, refining her craft and developing new collections that reflect her signature blend of design discipline and quiet artistry.
